SOMATIC EXPERIENCING®
Somatic Experiencing® (SE) is a body-centered approach to trauma resolution developed by Dr. Peter A. Levine that supports clearing trauma imprints stored in the body. Rather than focusing only on the cognitive aspects of a traumatic event, it guides individuals to pay attention to their physical sensations, allowing the nervous system to complete interrupted survival responses (like fight, flight, or freeze) and retrieve the capacity to self-regulate.
